​Associate Professor Helmut Schaider graduated from the Medical University of Graz, Austria with a Bachelor of Medicine in 1989. After working in Cancer Research, he completed his Dermatology training in Graz, including working as a Postdoctoral Researcher with The Wistar Institute in Philadelphia. In 2013 Associate Professor Schaider relocated to Brisbane to pursue research on drug resistance and melanoma prevention with the University of Queensland.

Associate Professor Schaider is a Senior Visiting Medical Officer at Princess Alexandra Hospital, and continues his position as a Principal Research Fellow with the University of Queensland.

Associate Professor Schaider exclusively treats Skin Cancer and Melanoma.
