How does Registrar training work at QIDerm?
We have 5 registrars training at our clinic. As an accredited training institute with the Australasian College of Dermatologists, you will see a registrar initially before the consultant when you come to an appointment. We are Brisbane's only private dermatology clinic providing unique hands-on training opportunities to future dermatologists.
Why do I need a referral?
To claim a Medicare rebate, a valid referral is required. Referrals are also useful for our doctors to obtain all relevant information before seeing a patient. The referral is important for informing the consultant about the medical concern and identifying the appropriate time period in which the patient needs to be seen.
A registrar will initially see each patient before consultation with a dermatologist. As a teaching institute, this process ensures active participation in learning. The dermatologist will examine and discuss the skin condition and possible treatments with the patient.
